FAQs
Why include events in the membership?
With the birth group membership, we want to focus on creating a really strong group relationship, similar to ones formed through antenatal classes like NCT. Through our experiences of connecting groups of parents, we have found that the more opportunities parents have to get to know each other before babies arrive, the more natural the friendships are and the closer the bonds. This means that when babies do come along, a close group forms an automatic support network, offering advice, recommendations and encouragement in the newborn days when it’s most needed. They also feel comfortable to socialise and organise their own get-togethers, which can be a much more difficult task second time around. Having some set events that the whole group are expected to attend, will ensure the group gets plenty of opportunities to connect and get to know each other properly.

Do you pay for each partner in a couple separately?
No! All memberships are a one-time payment that includes the whole family. We focus on helping both mums and dads form strong connections and support networks. Single parents and same-sex couples are very welcome to join and we’d be so happy to accommodate you and your needs, whatever your situation.
What if I can’t make one of the dates of the included events?
The included antenatal events for your birth group are a big part of your membership. Attending these events will ensure you get the most out of PPC. The dates for The Pub Quiz and The Stay and Play are set and cannot be moved or refunded in any way, just like antenatal classes. However, if you can’t make one of these dates, don’t worry too much as there will be plenty of other events where you can get to know your group. We organise separate evenings for mums and dads following these first two events to suit your availability - these are a great opportunity to connect without the distraction of little ones!

Can I join if I've already had my baby?
Yes of course! If you have had your second baby, the 'Membership only' option provides you with connections to all other members. You may not be in a specific antenatal birth group but you will be able to find others who live near you or have similar aged children through the different groups in the WhatsApp community. You will also have access to the regular PPC meet-ups you may want to attend over your parental leave. Many of our current members joined PPC after having their baby and have found great value in the connections and events.
Can I join if I don’t live in Guildford, Godalming or Farnham?
Yes absolutely. We have members from all sorts of areas outside of Guildford, Godalming and Farnham. Currently these are the locations that we meet but can expand this based on the interest. If you would like to know if we have members in your area, please send me an email or WhatsApp message and I would be happy to give you more information.
